___
| | \ aynald the Lord and Sir Ashuga have engaged in a publicly |
| |__/ released dispute which cast light on the relationship between |
| | \ the Castle and the Empire. The new Councilman, Raynald Blade, |
| | \ has taken the position that the White Wolf must fully |
withdraw from Val Miran and leave jurisdiction of the city in
the hands of the Empire. Ashuga, in turn, attempted to ensure the
people that the Castle is fully committed to the cause of serving
the innocent, even when the Law "gets in the way" and protects
those whose criminal intent has not yet been proven. Ashuga did
not confirm, however, that the White Wolf was even a sub-entity of
the Castle at all, and says that the White Wolf is not under the
authority of the Castle. That being said, a question emerges as
to who actually controls the White Wolf now, and if they should be
disbanded for lack of a realistic chain of command, or simply
renamed. Duke Leothyre has not been available to comment, but if
there are concerns, he is currently the highest source.

The Castle, of course, has bigger problems -- the Crown Regent,
Naruthiron, has gone missing according to a recent bout of search
ledgers that have begun to show up in various taverns and public
meeting spots across Aabahran. His face is common even as far as
Gal Ranidon on posters claiming he was last seen as far back as
1879, a good seventy years ago. While no reward has been offered,
the Knights are in a hot pursuit for a potentially dead man, or a
clever man who, for whatever reason, does not wish to be found.

In other news, Brambus the famed and prolific inventor of Tarandue
has made it known that new inventions and schemes will debut for
public marvel soon. Tribunal is in the process of signing a
contract with a festival planner named Ellix which will ensure a
safe environment for the revealing of the invention. New weapons,
armors, and other prizes will be offered as prizes for a variety
of games in varying levels of difficulty, says Ellix, and there
may be an auction, rides, or perhaps even a grand battle royale.
The date of the Invention Festival has not yet been provided, but
the festival is planned to last several weeks so that everyone who
intends to participate has a decent chance.
