Understanding the Balance

Religious Studies · by Scholar Irpel Brpel

The tales of Balance and Neutrallity come in surprisingly many colors. Too many students of this religion are not even aware of what needs to be thought on, or seen. This tome, perhaps, picks up upon the crudely surfaced tome by Dalamithar Ardigorath, published by Scribe Narnokles. Dalamithar speaks in his tome of the duty of those in the gray of Balance. But I will take the outlook deeper, and write on personal paths that better direct my thought to preserving Balance.

There are many aspects of Balance that bewilders students. How are they to perceive, how are they to act, how are they to obtain knowledge? The answer is blatant and simple: Do not. As one of the Balance, one must only watch and learn the purest form of patience, or else he is caught off guard and his vision becomes clouded. The wretch of Balance is the one whom ignores the gray-scale of reality and choose a path of carelessness. Blindness, besides Chaos, is the Balance's greatest enemy. Without a clear aspect of the world and the Larger Picture, one cannot see the scales and their constant tilt from side to side.

What is Change? How should the Balance view life and death? When must one aid a force? There are no probable answers for these questions, but there are solutions. Solutions that may be, in fact, a correct way, or just another mistake in the completion of things. Everyone who follows in the Balance must find his own path to better himself in his colorless march. I will write here my -own- solutions to these questions; this religion has been my field of study for almost thirty years. I have founds many things, though none of which should you make your path unless you can feel the relentless tug.

-Change-

There is life, and there is death. Durring life, beings move, commune, gain memories, and pass information/memories onto other people. It is this constant flow of data that makes Aabahran an existent realm. Without this Change, we are in a void. To be existent is to be a part of reality and the bettering of flow.

-Viewing life and death-

During life, one of the Balance must do his best to better his knowledge of -ALL- things; good, evil, order, and chaos, as this is the key to progression. However, one must not shun death. Death is the ultimate fate of one's existence, but it should not be feared. Without death of existent beings, the life-force of every body on our planet would merge into one eternal entity of infinite power. But nothing has infinite power - to have infinite power is an impossible and improbable state to comprehend. Life and death are interlocked. Neither of which should be worshiped nor respected, as they are only aspects that make up what the existent being perceives throughout its time to learn.

-When must One Aid-

If the one who walks in the gray's vision is clear enough, he will witness both the Light and the Dark. It is then, when he considers both to their full extent, will he learn of their powers, and their weaknesses. Then one must only calculate what is the best coarse of action, taking into consideration that which he has observed.
