Ode to Smitten
I pondered where to go, to find my inspiration. Fearing any voyage would fall short of anticipation. Not sure what to say, or even how to write it. No victory in battle, could leave you more excited. Somewhere between emotions, of friendship and of love, lies the greatest hunt in life, set by nature up above. Some hearts ride on clouds, others stomped into the dirt. Yet all will take the risk, to play the game of flirt. Some spring from shadowed alleys, tickling their prey. Others simply blush a bit and quietly turn away. All enjoy the chase, and the gestured game of tag. From the goose and the gander, to the doe and the stag. Kings within their castles, or beggars in the street, All hope someone is out there, for them to one day meet.
