Karishin -Warlords History I

Tales and Stories · by Herald Xanthis Ignifirum

Well, I never thought I would do this- write my own journal or memoir or history, or whatever you wish to call it, but, here I sit, it being fifty years since I first left my home. Fifty years since I crossed the forsaken desert and made my way to Maelbrim to join both the Warrior's guild and the Battle Clan. In part I also write this for those who will immediately follow me when I pass, as when I entered the Halls there were contradictory statements from foreign factions in regards to deals we had supposedly made and events that had supposedly happened. To secure an unbroken history, I thusly pen this down.

My first memorable achievement was gaining entrance to the Halls of Warmaster. When I joined the Camp was in turmoil. The only other member was a twice-disgraced minotaur named Pew. Shortly after my joining Nurrog and Xharric were promoted to the officer corps of the army as well and we all grew together in strength. It was also this time that I would become friends with other notable members of other prominent factions such as Acele and Belderon who now lead the Eternal Library and Tribunal Empire respectively.

In the years that followed, Pew engaged in a number of treacheries, largely due to what I now believe were outside influences. He pushed hard for alliance with the Crown though we had no such need, but I did go along with. That quickly broke down as they looked at us as nothing more than their subordinates, and Pew treated the members of the Camp as his own army to command.

It was at this time that a combination of factors led to a great war of almost the entire world. The actions of the Knights could no longer be ignored, cumulating with brutal attacks and murders of our members, as well as their attack on myself within the Warmaster Halls. With the alliance in shambles, and my own personal distaste of the Nexus due to the contribution of Thulgan to the Doom of Rheydin. All together, we four decided to declare war on all factions that had armies and we went to battle with Crown, Fortress, and Tower. Pfft, as if their armies could stand against ours if we wished to go to war. Even Pew's infection could not stop the war with the Knights, though he was vocally against such. As for myself, I was young and wanted to earn renown so I largely pushed for the Great War.
