-= Mentality - A View - Volume One =-
There is one thing that is almost as complex as time, and that is the mind. The mind itself cannot actually grasp time, as both share many things in common. This tome tries to explain the various bits of the mind and what they do.
As we know, the mind is built up with various pieces: memory, comprehension, expansion, and progression. An understanding of each of these things is important. They, together, make the paradox we call "mind". The wonderful thing about these fragments of the mind is that each piece has its own, infinitely vast possibilities for characteristics. Each one is a distinct variable for different things.
Memory - Memory is a cycle. It is something that both the mind stores, and releases to other minds, affecting their way of viewing things. Due to memory, there is effect, and there is cause. Memory is -not- history. Memory is how the mind separates one thing from another; it is how it chooses and discerns in various situations, and it is how history, in turn, is written. To merely have memory (along with a body capable of passing ideals, memories, and/or opinions), is to be a being which causes the very weaves of fate and time to ripple and move. Memory could, in a sense, be considered as the flow of time, or the causing of change. Memory is the key to the mind. All memories are different, for no two people see the exact same thing.
Comprehension - Comprehension is how the mind takes information and turns it into memory. Without comprehension, memories could not be made; therefore, the ripples of reality would not change. Some people comprehend differently than others; therefore, what they take and put into memory is different. Comprehension could be easily defined as understanding, therefore, comprehension has limitations due to other factors, such as age and race, though -all- true beings have it. Circular reasoning causes a gap in the raw understand of comprehension and memory itself: Memory affects how comprehension works, as well as the fact comprehension determines what will be stored as memory.
Expansion - Expansion is the growth of the mind. It is the
circle created by Memory and Comprehension together as one, so in fact, Expansion is barely a factor of the mind. Expansion is defined merely as this: The mind is capable of growing in capacity, knowledge, and ability of the control of physical properties - it is not a stagnant force.
Progression - Progression is the factor of time and the mind passing. I will state an example of Progression: If a baby is born, with only eyes and a mind, and can see nothing but a blank white wall for all eternity, it will still learn, due to Progression. This cannot be proven however, it is only a theory.
