-= Mentality - Charm - Volume One =-
The interesting thing about a charmed beast is that it, without question, serves the wishes of another being. What becomes complicated is the fact that the charmed beast itself accepts information from the possessor and carries it so, so, in fact, it has its own mind, and its own Memory; it just doesnt use these things at a free will, due to magicks - it can only focus on what the master orders.
Now many would dispute the case on the Charmed. My view of the charmed can be segmented to a better understanding, and I will merely pronounce facts of their existence and the likes.
One: The Charmed once had a mind of their own - Every single one. Even if they only had a mind for a tiny bit of time, they had it. Without a mind, the body is not truly charmed; it would have to be animated with the magicks and -then- charmed. The mind would be, of course, limited, but very existent and capable of capture.
Two: No Charmed mind has freedom of thought. They think only of what they need to do next, which is, of course what is stored in their memory due to words, commands, or telepathic waves from the master, or the Charmer. So, in fact, the Charmed have minds similar to normal minds, though some of the abilities are removed.
Three: A charmed mind does have feelings. It can love, hate, and understand pain just like any one soul, but as I noted before, it can only focus on that which its master shows to it. So, in theory, a charmed mind will never actually love or hate anything unless it is an order taken from the master.
Four: A charmed mind can learn. It can take information and store it in memory. This is, yes, learning. Anything stored within Memory is something learned. However, they cannot truly acknowledge these things it sees or takes in, because it, I repeat, only focuses upon its master. If a charmed were to see a blue tree, and the master didnt tell it to "notice that tree", then it would never, ever, meet with another being and converse with it what it saw, for it was never truly seen, though it was placed in memory.
Five: A charmed mind can break free of any magick with time, returning to its free state of thought. However, the memory it gained within its charmed state will be forgotten.
