The Taking of Miruvhor
Historiarum Annalis · by Scholar Jisil
It happened so suddenly. Men, women, and children alike were screaming for their lives. This was no attack that Miruvhor had suffered from frequently by the Watcher's treants. This attack was headed by the spys of Aabahran, more commonly known as the Head Hunters, or Syndicate.
Miruvhor was a forgotten city for the lawful; It was expected that the Syndicate may try and overtake it, but not by the power of the Gods themselves. Chayesh, one of the divine of the heavens, helped the war against Miruvhor immensily. Hordes of the undead ran wild through the streets, streets that were flowing with the blood of the massacred guard. Little life was spared in this quick, and almost effortless war against Miruvhor and it was a grand triumph, for both Chayesh, and the Head Hunters.
Many believe that the rampaging undead could not have been prevented. However, one divine in particular, who was not what he was after the taking of Miruvhor, believes that it could have been prevented. All of the prewar preparations could have been made, and an army formed for the good of the people who resided in Miruvhor. He claims, that he was once a spy for Justice, the fallen bastion of Order, and that he had knowledge of the war to come. He had warned everyone within the city. Not a soul knew not of the war, but only because he was a hated spy, they shunned his existance, and listened with deaf ears. This sealed the fate for what was coming to the citizens of Miruvhor.
The spy was Izlimak, and he was not always an unliving creature. His frustration got the better of him, and he confronted Chayesh, knowing quite well that he would be killed for standing up to such a powerful being. Chayesh made it a quick battle, and Izlimak fell with Order in his mind. Believing that it was over then, was a mistake. Chayesh took it a step further, and revived Izlimak. He was now of the undead form, like the undead who had taken the city he gave his life for.
This account was given by Izlimak himself, and others present, who are lucky to be alive after such a bloody disaster.
