Destruction of S'handor
Historiarum Annalis · by Scholar Iehwu
Unlike any other tomes, I have taken the liberty to write a personal account as to what happened the day King Balwen was fallen by Anume. All of which I have written is fact and truth, and in no way has any bias opinion.
The day started out as any other normal day to me, until I received a scroll from my Elder, Flesico, asking all that were able to come to S'handor's gates to finally raid the city of S'handor and kill the Khalandar once and for all.
While nearly every single one of us, in one way or another, were an enemy to another, we all stood for this single time to go against what meaned the destruction of Aabahran, and the beginning of an age of slavery. We fought against many, many Scourge Demons that seemed to just flourish out of the city walls and onto our small formed army. We fought past them all very valiantly, and finally came upon Khalandar, the once King Balwen of S'handor before Mordeth's betrayal. Within moments, he stunned everyone and slammed them to their knees. The force was more great on others then some, and few of us fell. At this point, Khalandar mocked everyone as we were frozen with fear, and began to draw energy into an orb he created before himself.
Throughout his demeaning and very insulting gestures towards us all, he poured the energy of all the souls he collected while the misty gates were still open among Aabahran. The ground began to shake, and lava began to pour from the cracks and foundation of the once grand city. Among all of this turmoil, Khalandar showed his treasured ornament, Lestinari's skin, from around his neck. Geysers began to form around Khalandar, which he greeted with a wry cackle many times, until one sent him sprawling onto his back. From the crater of that explosion, the form of a woman, in the fetal position, encased in a translucent orb of energy began to ascend before us all. The orb cracked, and the woman slowly emerged from her fetal posion, extending her feet first, followed by her arms. She landed before all of us, her eyes revealing a hypnotic shade of deep sky blue. She analyzed her current situation, not even spooked by the Khalandar who stood beside her, now barking orders at the Scourge Demons to destroy her.
The Scourge Demons obeyed Khalandar and jumped at his command, literally dogpiling onto her form. Beams of white light began to emanate from beneath them all, however, and all the creatures, in a split second, were eradicated in a powerful spherical blast of energy that emitted from the body of the woman. She was unscathed. Khalandar couldn't admit the defeat of so many Scourge Demons, and ordered his Undead Warriors to attack her. She began to slaughter them all, not even breaking a sweat. At this time, Khalandar finally speaks to her, asking: "Tell me your name - so that I may have it engraved on your tombstone."
She replied, simply, and melodically: "Anume. The weapon of the one TRUE God."
At that, Khalandar and Anume extended few more words to eachother, before breaking into a long, tiresome battle. In the end, Anume triumped over the Khalandar, sending him into a pool of lava. However, he slowly emerged from that same pool, and impaled Anume through the stomach. With expertise, the Weapon of the One God managed to turn about, slice off Khalandar's arm from his elbow down, stab him in the neck, and slice off his head, in seconds.
At that, Khalandar's body flashed into a cloud of dust, and disintigrated into the wind - and we were all able to move freely once again. Almost moments after the destruction of the Once King Balwen, the city of S'handor began to fall apart. We all took evasive action, and sent ourselves back to our warm temples. No sooner had we done this, the city of S'handor fell into fiery pits that had been created beneath the city, and an actively spewing volcano, its location not known until now, flourished in its wake.
