I think this could be an interesting skill for select melee classes. Anyone can fish, even a caveman can do it. But carrying fifty bottles of milk in your backpack is annoying. Shoot it down if you want but it would be cool to have "popular" fishing spots to just sit, pop open a barrel of mead and enjoy some calm.

Very cool suggestion.
I actually really like this idea, and it can be easily expanded upon to include things like specific places that have a chance to give fish that give various effects upon eating them.
Maybe a purchasable and useable item.

A cane pole baited with a juicy worm.
If in an area labeled "water" by the mechanic of the game the pole is useable. I would like to see it have a 70% chance to catch an edible fish, 10% chance to catch nothing, 10% chance of catching a baby fish(too small to eat), and a 10% chance of realing in a poisoness water snake. 
You should also be able to break your pole.
I want hookers too.

Just for the record, you DONT need to carry 50 bottles of milk. You can just pour them all into a barrel. There is an easy barrel by Val Miran.

Well thank you, I have never actually done it. I know a backpack can hold a considerable amount so that's what stores my moldy bottles.

Typing the previous 5 times is a lot easier than pouring individual bottles into barrels. Just so they can be stolen by the next finger happy thief.
I think Dale feels as I do, that since milk is the only nonperishing food, it leave no room for a lactose intolerant RP. It would be nice to see an alternative food source that does not perish. A solo trip to many level 50 areas like the factions or despair takes too long for a common roasted duck to make it. While some clases have ways of feeding themselves, others are left with little choice but milk. An alternative would be nice.
I know, I know, Beer. But that has ill effects and also does not mesh right with some roleplays..
Also, I enjoy to fish.
This reminds me of WoW, not necessary a bad thing though.
