Savants - Mercy and Challenges.

I think Savants should have a Mercy commands like Warriors, Paladins, Monks and Blademasters.

Savants are the pinnacle of Wizardry. They should be able to control their magic enough to not kill their opponents.

The idea is to open Challenge - Record to the Savant Towers.

The idea that only Warmaster have records is flawed in my view.

In fact anyone who fights more than 50 challenges, should have a permanent record.

This way Savants can say DIYWM, Do it yourself with Magic. ;o

PS: While we are at it, lets give a tainted mercy to all Qraces. I want them to have 3 tics of time to RP after they kill someone.

So you want fireballs/firestorms that you can control the damage of? Since we have a mercy perk, I see no need. Not going to list all the spells, that defy logic to think you could control the damage of, but I would find it hard to picture even Merlin suddenly drawing back power already summoned. There is a reason mages never throw fireballs near their friends. They Can Not control it to that great an extent, and their friends would die. Consider the wizards fire in the sword of truth series, it burned with a will of its own. To suddenly call off the spell, to me would be like a dragon sucking back in his own breath weapon.

I'm all about mages...I can understand the concept of magic being an extension of self, like a warrior's blade. Wielding magic is an art for some... However, I don't see Savant's as the "P" wavers that Warmasters are...If your individual rp is that way, that's all well and good, but I don't see the Savant tower as a whole like that... So, I don't see why they would want to keep a record of battles like they are trying to compete...in their minds...there isn't a competition... JMO
