Deletion as spontaneous combustion

When a character deletes, a world-pmote goes out something along the lines of this:

"Palwen spontaneously combusts, covering you with sea-elf parts!"

Or something along the lines of:

"A great hand from the sky squashes deykari! What a mess!"

That is my idea.

After deciding life wasn't worth it, (player) jumped off the Aabrahan Cliffs.

And what RP reason can you put behind this?

That would support deletions, which I'm not so sure is a good thing. Still, it would be pretty neat.

Not only that, not everybody RPs that they die when they 'delete'.

Or even suicide for that matter...

if you rp suicide u truly are morbid lol

My h-elf paladin RP'ed his suicide. He decided he had failed his god, so he stripped his gear in the Hope clan hall, recited each of those edicts they have on the wall, recited how he had failed each of them, and threw himself onto the sharp glaive he had set into the corner.

interesting lol..

"whoever" offers themselves to the gods, and the gods could no longer permit such a pitiful existance.

you could always make delete come out as an echo.

The fire of purity consumes the body of VALEK as he screams for mercy

bump.

Last time I checked you can't delete anyway or it possibly only works pre 50.

Why bump something like this lol....

Wow... You should only get a world broadcast if your character had some kind of impact. Such as when Ashuga put his deletion thread up, one of the immortals broadcast him going into the heavens.

I've seen such already. When Osyn was deleted and some other not so namely one. The broadcast was something like: Blahblah mortal coils blah. It happens. BELIEVE THE HYPE!

Delete, Delete = OP.

It has been changed so much for our own protection.

Rage delete became less common with the adrenaline cool down, but people still do it.

No where left to go, nothing left to do deletes are more common.

As for a world broadcast, if you want living characters in game to know of your death, send a note (death certificate) to the heralds and IMMs.

I am certain that the people in game would get word that your character was no longer with us. Albeit you may be subjected to the bias of the author, but what do you care your gone.

delete delete

gecho TDP syndrome strikes again!

All hardcore characters already get an echo when they are condeathed / condie.
