Give Gnomes, Detect Invis Racial.

Last gnome I pinned was a bmg... he had something around 7-800 hp without eq, if I recall correctly (this was a while ago). My last gnome invoker was in 1.0, and he had around 600 or so hp without eq... but I had no clue what I was doing with him while leveling up or spending trains, so... shrugs 1000hp without eq, however, is not something I think is within their abilities.

Keep in mind that what class you are will drastically alter hp/mana gain regardless of race. A gnome melee will have a fair bit more hp than a gnome mage.

To weigh in a little more on the core topic of this thread... why the hell are we really discussing this? Is this game really suffering from a lack of gnome melees? EDIT: And do you really think that just giving them auto-detect invis is the spice they need to make them be around more? Come on.

Gnome HP.

Heh. Play like hit and run. 56 thats how he rolls. Your pinned gnome with all perks will be just shy of 900hp. Eq will carry you above 1000 easily, however, that eq will not benefeit a melee class. So its a round about. Gnome melees need the hit and dam for lack of strength, the +hp eq often gets in the way.

Again, I am still undecided on this thread.

Mya: Mostly' date=' I don't agree with devaluing [b']detect magic on melee's with this. As I've stated - one 'situation', one high level item and ONE cabal hand it out easy. I can't tell you how much easier it is in either of those situations. SO much easier for melee. SO much.

It's detect Invis....

So what you get 800 Hp with a pin gnome BMG. My avian one gets 900 HP base.

But that is not the point. The point is Gnome melees. Not mages. This does not affects mages the slightest.

Gnome race plainly sucks for melee characters. Idea gives something special for meeles, but not for mages.

Want another comparison ?

Storm giant Warrior vs Gnome Warrior.

Please tell me, in what field a Gnome Warrior is better than the Storm giant ?

Hint: They suffer the same vulnerability.

Elf and drow warriors aren't considered strong either - but the race excels at mages. Some races are better suited for certain things.

I don't think it means we should powerup every race to do well at everything.

900hp base on a battlemage? Really? I might have to roll an avian next... :-)
