Life Insurance & Sacrifice

Suggestion:

If you have life insurance, you can't sacrifice anything. While this suggestion is NOT from getting full looted, or anything because of someone having life insurance and me not being in a cabal (..seriously, this is something I've been thinking about), I don't think it's fair if you go up-to-bat with a cabal member, decked, whose always in life insurance (who you've beaten once, by the way, and he had life insurance) and then get beaten, and full sacced.

Makes absolute no sense, and is quite pitiful. So, on to that suggestion again: You can't sacrifice anything while you're affected by life-insurance.

I would go as far as say if you affected by LI then you can't loot at all period, except maybe gold.

I wouldn't mind getting looted. It's so much easier to: get all corpse, drop 1. x4 (or however much you were able to pick up) and then sac 1. x4. But when you loot and can't sac, well, you have no choice but to run somewhere else, drop it all, go back, get all you can, etc etc. This would also help those pesky undeads when they die from getting completely bummed from someone spamming sac 1. x1029384 when they die.

At least you can get revenge if someone still has your stuff (or dropped it somewhere else) and have a CHANCE at getting it back.

Pfff....so items would stagnate EVEN more. I prefer removing LI.

Shrug, all I can say is join a cabal and you wont get full saced, or just keep killing them over and over until they have nore cabal rewards left.

This subject has been beat down over the 12 years Ive played Even I did when I was starting and couldnt get into a cabal but I learned.

(trick is make a ninja and not let them know you are there then shove a red hot poker up thier arse. they cannot life insure if they didnt know you were on.)

You're way misinformed here buddy. You -have- to fight those you don't want to fight, because all they have to do is 'knock' on your cabal guardian. Ask the imms, asked the players who do it instead of looking for you. It happens.

Then again, this coming from the player who uses the most Life Insurance in the game.. I can't quite say much to deter you from the direction you're going.

(And this is all in jest. I can't remember the last time I fought one of your characters that did NOT have life insurance. You serial Watcher, you.)

Teralis. I think you missed the memo. Nobody listens to f0xx. I wouldn't worry about it. My mind is still being made up about this LI thing. With my pasts, (Perniciant, Scorvale, Dzrilx, etc) I was a complete LI whore. Now, with Koortu and one current... I have not used LI hardly at all. The two times I used LI was against 3 enemy caballers AND a bounty hunter ping ponging me, and then when I thought I was on an incredibly unstable connection, but ached to play anyway.

I liked the one idea where it was only useable as long as two enemy caballers are on. That seems to wash away most of the other problems.

I just think it is fine for the cost, its even expensive if you dont die and it doesnt last nearly as long as I remember it did way back in very early 1.0.

Plus if they keep dying those cabal reward go out at a quick pace when using skills spell etc.. after so long they cannot even get it.

Edit= I remember the old days when you could log on a cabal member go steal all the standards for all cabals and be gaining 20 30 cp a tic, we have by far a fairer and slower gain now, so cps are harder to come by and some may not wish to spend them like candy now. I remember having over 25k cp with Brylak my first char here.

Getting off topic here. What do people think about not being able to sacrifice while you're affected by Life insurance?

I think that the idea is good, but that the other idea is better. I'd take your idea over no change, and the "Only use LI when two enemied caballers are on" option over your change.

Again im of the idea that if you're not cabal'd you dont have to fight anyone.

Its only when you want the special perks that you do aka avatar. And for those perks you pay a price.

I don't like the draw back of not being able to sacrifice. Creates more stagnation.

On the other hand, I think someone should coup whoever's leading Herald (I don't know who it is.....Heralds aren't a real cabal) and take Herald into WAR! Arrrr! Stomp a mudhole in Nexus. That's what I want to see. Herald beating the living **** out of Nexus! Show 'em who's the boss!
