I know we have all been there once upon a time.
How annoying is it when you take a mob death, going to get your stuff back, theres a world shift, can't possibly get there in time, eq is gone.
That just isn't right and is a huge (and quite unfair) frustration. Is there nothing that could possibly be done about this?

I personally have never lost EQ due to such circumstances and I would be pretty pissed if that happened.

This is pretty much the point I was making... that learning how to not die to mobs is a part of this game. I've lost EQ because of mobdeaths before, and what it taught me was to be more careful when fighting mobs, to not underestimate their ability to kill despite just being programs. This is something everyone should learn. It may SUCK when it happens to you, but that doesn't stop it from being fair - which, yes, it is because it affects everyone equally until they learn how to deal with it.
I do not care what anyone says at all. The fact that if you die and there is a world shift you then lose your eq? That is fubar. There are so many other ways to lose eq in this game, I do not think we need a new one, espescially since new players ARE going to die, and they are not gonna know exactly where they died. Some of the older players could get to their corpse blindfolded in under a tic the vast majority of the time, we all know newbies cant.
