Irumeru, the last head coder of FL, was challenged to roll a human berserker in Warmaster. He did so under the name Ae-something-or-another. In order to prove humans, and himself, were capable of competing against the big dogs like ogres, fire giants, and minotaurs, he added bonuses to humans to make sure he had an advantage, something no one else knew or were aware of during his time playing this character.
He went on to beat several established characters with these bonuses. In secret, the bonuses lead to a pretty successful run against a playerbase that was not only ill-informed, but not as PK-viable as our current pbase. Currently, these bonuses don't really impose too much of an impact on the current PBase as we've evolved from that time.
I do want to say that cheating from a past administration in no way implicates our current.
Cheating in FL doesn't really serve a purpose in FL anymore since the game has evolved to be more journal and note oriented.
Zhokril/Calron was the previous coder, before Erelei and after Irumeru. I also understand that the bonuses were much more significant than they are now. Now, they are just some small bonus to headbutt, haymaker, and maybe cleave?
Back then, it was major bonuses spread out among different human classes that he was playing, re: the human watcher BLM and whatever his puny human wm zerk was called.
Behrens/Irumeru was both a liar and a cheater, plus completely worthless as a coder for the game. I'm glad he is long gone.
Also note that the coders in FL have a history of cheating before Erelei. Virigoth, Crypticant, Irumeru and Zhokril were known cheaters. Malchaeius was not as far as I know.

Also, @EllaThePuppy, a long, long, long (over a decade at least) time ago, two players were caught cybering in the Savant Tower. Hence the reference. ;)

The current coder and Staff is vehemently against any form of cheating or IMMfluence for personal gain.

The Idiom we use in the UK is Poacher turned Game-Keeper. Who would know better how to look out for people trying to break / game the system than Acerbity!

Sometimes I purposely try to think up combos to purposely see if it has the work around that no one else may have thought of before. Usually it seems to have been thought of before, but sometimes I figure out something that managed to slip through the cracks, or at least be in the ballpark of being the case. Not to cheat, just mainly out of boredom and random shower thoughts.

I don't know if they still do, but ages ago Avians had some hard-code bash resistance and I was always trying to think of a way to use that effectively.
Don't minotaurs have these same bonuses to zerks?
