I think it would be a great idea that once every month or once every three months, we have a tournament. Not like a free for all where everyone sits in a few rooms and dukes it out, but an actual gladiator style tournament where you must advance. One Vs One and each victory advances. The last two standing fight for the title of grand champion and maybe a cool item or gold or who knows. I feel the rules are fairly simple. Whoever wishes to join the tournament can enter, It cost some gold to enter the competition and your opponent is picked randomly. If you win that fight you move onto the next round and so forth. Once you enter the arena there is no getting out so you better make sure you're prepared before you get in. Have each battle have maybe 4 rooms to move around and that's it.
There is a lot of RP that can be done leading up to this and anyone can observe these fights. People will actually be able to see live tactics and enjoy watching some good battles. Instead of PK logs you get live action on the spot.

Actually this was something more in line with a Blademaster WM I want to roll eventually. The more I started to brainstorm with his RP the more I thought of how cool it would be if there were actual tournaments.

That note is pretty awesome. I would have definitely joined in if I was playing at the time.. but I almost feel like those names are all very familiar. Maybe I ghosted right when that happened. As much as we could try to put it together ourselves, I feel it would resonate more if it was a world event. But.. it's still something to think about potentially doing of Imm staff don't buy into it. .
