'I was just wondering why only humans and werebeasts can be druids? Whats wrong with a halfling druid? or an elf? Why are the other races barred from playing it? A balance issue? Rp?

The amount of mana and the high dex that an elf would have would make it overpowered.
The dex and magic resistance of a halfling would make it overpowered.
I remember there was a stone giant that was restrung to an ent not long ago, so it just goes to show it is possible.
At the beginning of 2.0 Elves could become them, but I believe the reasoning behind it was they should be Neutral only and Elves were Good. They weren't really a power house though, but I don't think Aulian played one either. 
There is nothing that is impossible. If you work for it and apply for it you can get it. However you should also expect to be gimped in some way because of the balance issue.

Long ago, only humans could become druids.
It was a human only class.
Then the p-base begged Viri to allow werebeasts, which are merely humans that were blessed by Gaia.
Finally, after years of begging, Viri let us have werebeasts. Lets just keep it at two, eh?
As far as special circumstances, RP away. Try to make a Demon Druid for all I care. But I do not agree with allowing another race to become druids.

Half-elf should be allowed as druid. In most fantasy settings, elves generally have much more respect and care for nature than humans. Even if that is not the case in Forsaken Lands, I just don't see why half-elves shouldn't be allowed as druids.
That is actually a good suggestion, since you don't see that many half elves. Don't see how it would be overpowered either. And makes sense from a RP pov.
