I am always of the opinion that just due to the energy required, Imm's often don't have the time (or are too sick of the ridiculous players) to get good player opinion or recommendation on changes.
My idea is that the Imm's appoint task forces for major changes, i.e. this berserker thing, or perhaps the cabal changes suggested in another thread.
A task force may be made up for Immortals and Players, based on experience with the topic on hand and availability. The task force would then appoint a spokesperson to make a report to the Staff and after that the Staff could decide on what implementation to take.
Or you could just make a post here with your informed, well thought out suggestion and invite polite discussion.
After all, this is a "forum".

the community is too small for organized task forces I think
changes are typically very slow to come (check the change log) and are usually very reactive (such as somebody finding a balance hole) rather than proactive...my guess is that the immstaff might think that FL is matured beyond the development phase and only needs occassional tweaks
another problem is the huge amount of disinformation given by even upper tier players..so careful who you listen to..and the essays really need to be checked out

Really? I thought most of the essays were well fine...
I suppose we have to remember that there is obviously some opinion bias in them, but otherwise having read all of them, i cannot find anything that is 'misleading' for someone newb to the game..

Very true to the derailment issue.
Though the forum is still the best solution, many of us here try to remain on topic and offer our 2 cents on ideas.
