I think invokers should have this, maybe not burning hands. As of all the classes invokers rely most heavily on the arcane. And it makes sense. Im not sure if the new magic missile effect is something you can talk about, but that would help invokers out hugely, since they cannot sanc til mid thirties, and have no way to wax protections except Hellstream, and that is not all that reliable.
Magic missile for vokers?
I do not think invokers need this at all. Their spells aren't stopped by saves nearly as brutally as a necro's or shaman's.
well Shamans have deteriorate, and necros spells are far more of a one battle death class. If I where to hit someone with 3 fireballs, they can run and heal, if a necro hits you with sleep not much you can do at that point besides watch mals get stacked.

Actually this is a potential area for many revisions--legacy spells for low-level characters that don't have any function at 50, like cure light, cure serious, burning hands, shocking grasp, etc.

saving vs magic missile is like saving vs the poison from the sanc vial chest...... Ever see it hit anything other than an unsanced ogre for more than mutilates?
Yeah, but the reason you want invokers to have it, the saves reduction, can stack (at least, to my knowledge... if there's a limit, then fine). Imagine that hitting you twice a round, 4 missiles each time, each missile dropping your saves? Invoker would have your saves gone in two rounds.

Its also not a - to hit dam, and at 30, which is when I believe this spell would be used the most, you would not call that many a round. An invoker at pinn probably should not waste time going for low damage save dropping spells, when they have a full staff and the real voker arsenal. Was just a thought, thanks for the input.

Do not forget, a skilled Invoker will be casting a lvl 53 Magic Missile. That will do more damage AND drop more saves than normal.
I dare you to ask the new immortal to cast a few rounds of magic missile on you.
a SMART invoker will be doing more than 53.

You can get an evil invocker to 56 and others to 55.
Of course good invocker have many advantages (request Hp items)
I did some expirementing with krondrin, and found that even without doing certain things I could hit 53 without much problem
Oh, well for my savant bmg a while back, spell lvl wouldn't surpass 52...guess it's an invoker thing.
I really thought they put a spelllvl cap at 53. I remember it being discussed on the forums long ago. shrug
