Update the website.
First thing people see when they wish to play the game is this old website with news from December of 2005. Write down something from 2007, no matter how small of a change it is people will see that the MUD is still up and running and still changing.
When I came back from a couple year break I opened up the web page and was confused that it looked the same, though I came to the forums and still saw that people played.

Yeah, seriously, he wants one that's worthwhile. "Roykagh's Bitch" is only +1 hit/dam and not even decent protection/armor.
