In every city there is one shopkeeper who deals in the buying and selling of rare equipment.
I just think that since KBS merged with syndicate there hasn't been anyone willing to go the trader way. So instead of selling to other players, you could sell your excess rare equipment to a shopkeeper. Obviously he wouldn't produce anything and would only sell things that have been sold to him, at a suitable mark up. I also think it would be a good idea that nodrop equipment could be sold to the shopkeeper.
Prices could be based on item level, or perhaps on flags/effects. I'm not sure.
What do you think?
Why stop at selling rare items?
Why not just sell characters? Zrothum would have a field day!
Perhaps you'd like to elaborate on your post, Evangelion.
He was just throwing out a cheap dig at Zrothum and his previous antics.

(reroutes back to topic....)
you mean like a consignment shop, where people can set their own prices?
meh...
the thing about that is that all of the rares would cycle towards the shop. The limited item system in FL really does rely on thieving and pkill to keep things in circulation...
Think about it, so i kill you with my necro...loot all oyur stuff with my golem and put 10 rare pieces on a consignment for premium prices.
Non consignment with fixed prices...eh...gold is EASY to obtain if you are in the know, heck you can camp in one zone and farm up hundreds of thousands of gold in an hour easily. So basically people would buy the rares with ease and deck themselves without the "lag" of having to group, or having to sweat through a gauntlet.
A player being a shopkeeper is one thing, FL's current "economy" (odd and weak as it is) can easily support it. But a place that holds many many rares and sells them...meh..i dont really see it working unless the mud goes under MAJOR overhaul in regards to gold, its availability, and the value of rare items.
-Zrothum is not here to defend himself. Low blow
-Why have to sell to shopkeepers? Identify the equipment, advertise it to the classes you know who need it. Or just bounty someone.
