Staff of control weather

I know most staffs dont work like this because they dont have a worse/better factor, but I think the staff should be called either the staff of worsen weather/better weather, because the staff from the druid seems to make it better alot more than worse, but will often make it worse then better two uses in a row.

Basically the chances of it worsening the weather is lower than bettering it. If you think about it, the only classes who can highlight on the worsening are few. Think on it and you will see a use for it.

Well I know a good use. So I dont get fried by call lightning. But however, there is a staff of call lightning, which would be nice to use in conjunction with the staff of control weather. I think the staff of control weather should be able to do worse or better. It makes sense to me that way.

I agree that it should work just like the spell. I don't think it was purposefully put in like that, but rather was an oversight on the part of the builder.

Every class that can call lightning can control weather. So really it makes sense that it only makes weather better cause damnit call lightning on a spelled up bmg batting -400+ AC HURTS LIKE HELL!!

No. I dont beleive that makes sense to me at all. Thats like saying there are x classes with sanctuary so there shouldnt be any staves/wands that give sanctions. There is a staff of call lightning, there should be a staff of worse weather/better weather.

It is not an oversight...

Its planed thing.

It alows Paladins and Clerics and Mages to use a counter to the Call Lightning/Thunderstorm spell.

If you wish your Dumb Ogre to make weather worse use the spell. This is an advantage of elves over Giants.

Well with plenty of staves and wands that mimic other spells, it just makes sense to me that there is a worsen staff. I havnt explored wands and staves enough to know this, but I would assume that 75%+ of mage spells are covered in staves/wands
