I'm not sure if it does now, but I propose that false emotes be punishable. i.e. - emoting paying someone gold or pretending to look at a hiding class if a character knows said hiding class is in the room but can't actually see them.
Emote abuse
They already are. If this occurs, report it.
thanks.
There are two things. One is emote abuse, one is good roleplay.
1: Good RP.
emote sneaks around behind you, angling for your coinpurse.
(Good RP, designed to imply thieving, get the other person involved in the stealing RP)
2: Emote abuse.
emote steals 52 gold coins from you.
(Bad. Saying you did something you didn't. If we catch you doing this, we will punish you, severity depending on the severity of the offense.)
I remember when I had dobson the thief, nearly 4 years ago, I was asked by some nucklehead if I wanted to buy some armor. Having just mastered the use of emote I was like hell yeah! So I get some (would be) awesome weapons that were counterfeit from this higher thief. Well, I gave them back to him, and said I wanted the real ones. He complied but still tried to slip a fake one in there. so I emoted Dobson gives you 100000000 gold. The dude was so happy he ran to the bank. I followed him and did this. Dobson laughs heartily as you realize the gold coins were painted shavings of soap, and they crumble in your coin purse.
Could have gotten in LOADS of trouble, but I didn't.
I think there are some grey areas such as gold. Check the gold your carrying, it is easily something you can see. I think it fits the thief RP aswell. Behrens, what do you have to say, since your the deciding factor here.
Emote abuse is illegal?
emote runs south.

Canada's north, idiot.
Of all the places in the world, Canada is the last place I would want to go.
And that's coming from a Brit. ![]()

I'm actually thinking of moving to alberta, my friend that introduced me to FL got deported, first job he could get was at McDonalds, says he's making 13 bucks an hour, cause they have a shortage of workers. I do floor covering right now, he says I'll likely make between 20-25 an hour. There's also oilfield construction (from what I'm told the most dangerous civilian job in North America) thats a two week introductary course, then you start out at 50k a year, caps around 100k after years of experiance. And the icing on the cake, Alberta has recently decriminilized marijuana, headie nug for 4-450 canadian a quarter pound! **** the US, I'm moving to Canada
oh did I mention free healthcare for its citizens, and from what I was told, you just need a work visa for a few years to get citizenship. ![]()
I think logging is the most dangerous job...but that is US data, so I dunno about all of north america..
Being an astronaut (or any pilot) and fishing are pretty high up there too...
I thought fishing/crabbing is the most dangerous job. But I could be wrong. But as for good pay at an entry level job, here in Wyoming you can start out on the railroad or in the coal mines at 75k a year. And at the railroad you can retire after 20 years with a damn good pension.
According to the learning channel, alaskan king crabbing is the most dangerous job in the world. I log for a living and while it can get hairy at times its not really a constant fear of death as long as you are reasonably careful and have reasonably careful co-workers. Don't get me wrong, it's dangerous as hell but not really out of your hands as far as living goes.
Underwater welding is #2 last I heard. Yeah some kind of alaskan fishing deep sea is #1... But I don't care, any job on that list AT ALL and I don't wanna do it. Lol.
Canada does have free health care but from what i've heard it totally sucks. If your not going to bleed out and die on the table, you have to wait months before you can get done what you need.
Heh I'm refering to Belegriel as the big burly lumberjack from now on:P either way, I have no health insurance now, and Canada does have better weed, for cheaper, and its no longer illegal in alberta, which means the worst that can happen if you have less then an ounce on you is the mounties take it from you, and likely smoke it themselves later ![]()
I just run equipment, very very rarely do they let me play with a saw....probably why I am so angry all the time, need to kill things to vent my frustrations!!!!
You're still a plaid wearing, tree chopper in my mind Belegriel, its ok ![]()
I see him with camo paint, plaid shirt, axe, snakeskin boots, and an m16 for some reason.
