Soul Transfer

Make it so that dkns can transfer souls from other dkns weapons into theirs. That way, there would be more incentive for dkns to fight each other and less incentive for the weapons to be destroyed.

....hrm.

I actually rather like this idea.

That could be some crazy, crazy stuff. I can just imagine epic battles between Dks. Sweeeeeeet.

I can see potential in this idea for several things.

  1. Very, very nice RP oppurtunities.

  2. Increase in the number of people who play DKs (they're always scarce, after all).

  3. Major, major abuse.

How would there be major abuse?

For those of you who don't know, malform levels are harder to increase as you progress. Make the soul transfer reflect this fact. That way, there wouldn't be any abuse.

Only abuse would be friends making characters to give malforms to each other. But then again, that's still a possibility at the moment.

That's where I was going with that.*

But if you make it so it does increase less per kill as it goes higher in level, then I'm cool with the idea.*

ah it kinda does, but thast malform info now isnt it?

I meant with the new soul transfer idea. I know how it works now.

Now, the question is, if you were to find someone else's level 10 malformed polearm lying on the ground, and were somehow able to pick it up...

With the current code, could you soul transfer it to your own weapon?

If so, this change should only require a code adaptation, not new code. Making it an easy change if the IMMs like it.

I would think no. I'm not sure what the deal with level 10 malforms are, but REDMARKERED. Incredibly high level malforms should be like that. HOWEVER, malforms of low level would be easily soul transferred.

Also, when someone else's weapon is soul transferred, the full force of the souls wouldn't be transferred to your weapon. That's how it states in the help file.

Let's stop the discussion right there.
