My idea, give every class in the game a new skill. This skill randomly does unique things and is very difficult to master.
For Monks we can call it Kata, for Warrior we can call it Combat Training, for Invokers we can call it Twitching the Macros, but it doesn't matter because the skill won't do a damn thing to anyone else that isn't normally going to happen!
For a mere two practices, players can train up there guild's secret art at level 20. Then randomly while in combat, it will output some strange text in place of a regular message. Once out of every 20 dodges, instead of 'You dodge his attack!' you see 'You barely roll out of the way!' Instead of 'Your slash DISMEMBERS the infant!' you get 'Twirling under the infants attack you attack a weak point in his defense DISMEMBERING him!' Instead of 'You utter the words burning hands, your burning hands injures the Giant.' you get 'Your hands burst into a powerful Arcane fire, causing the very air about them to turn to plasma, you reach out and touch the Giant, your burning hands injure him.' Instead of 'Your trip him and he goes down!' it's 'You kick a chair in front of his advance and he stumbles over the chair!'
Then when people ask for a change to a class that isn't needed, 'I think battlemages need a new defense' all we need to say is 'I think you need to master Meditation of Blades... newb.' They don't get anything new, but it looks like it!

I for one like it. Though untill mastery there should be a chance of failure... For example...
'Your hands burst into a powerful Arcane fire but you loose control enveloping your whole self in flame!

If that was the case, I personally would never practice it. The skill doesn't do anything extra, it just changes the aesthetics side of things, a new text-string outputted when the command goes through. Added chance of failure ontop of that when using it? I'd rather save myself the heartache and stick with the regular version.

I don't think WC's suggesting a change to the way anything actually works, Lemming, he's suggesting a cosmetic change to make things look a little cooler.

Right...in any attempt to be witty, please don't confuse the British pound with the Canadian dollar. The pound is worth MORE than the US dollar.
