Oh, I definately see the benefits. I was referring to what mentioned above, about the penalty that would be incurred by opening with haymaker. Other than your opponent running straight from the bat, I don't really see any other downsides.

Most people don't run on opening combat. Unless you want to give your oppoent the advantage before the battle even begins. You always want first attack so most will try to get it in as quickly as possible. And if that haymaker lands and dispels sanc on the first try while the opponent is trying to dirt kick at the exact same time, oh man, that alone can win you the battle. A bodyslam is sure to follow but you'd have only that split second to get away and if you even get that flee in, fast chasers will be all over you like white on rice before you can get sanc up again or get away.
