Future reference, you can multi quote posts by clicking the + next to the quote box for each person you wish to quote, then edit down the quote to the particular section you wish to respond to. It makes for a slightly longer post, but it saves you making 30 posts at once.

I dunno. I read this whole thread and all I am is confused.
In my own experience the staff has been more than fair with me on every occasion, even after I have been rude and disrespectful to them.
If you are going to accuse the staff of not being able to take criticism, you should not do it while simultaneously not taking criticism.
Even after reading everything I still have no clue what happened to you and what abuse or condescension you suffered...
In any event, welcome to FL, all things being equal it is a great mud.

Ok, so the original post is a suggestion that I posted revealing my opinion of an issue with the customer service that I have witnessed. I think that's awesome that you have had a good experience thus far, but I have not. Now when someone makes a suggestion and doesn't slander a specific person or sling mud on someone's name and then all the sudden get's criticized by two immortals what does that tell you. The reason I came back so harsh was because of instead of actually answering my original post they chose to attack and criticize me as a person instead of saying something like, "Well I think customer service is important too i'm sorry you had a bad experience, or something along those lines" When you shift the blame and say, "NO the reason your having issues is because your a BAD player not because we IMMS have any issues" That tells me what I need to know, they can't seem to look past themselves and read a GENERAL post that says "hey be nice" (paraphrasing) without attacking the person who dared to post it. So after you have read everything I can understand why you are confused because none of those comments should have EVER happened. The fact that some people got defensive proves their guilt in my opinion, there was no reason for those responses.

Now, as far as customer service goes, you need to consider two things.

The rules of the game state that all characters are to remain in character (IC) at all times. This is an all inclusive rule unless the immortal in question states specifically that you this is OOC (meaning they want to speak Out Of Character). Therefor when speaking with an immortal remember that they are also in character and must remain so. Do not expect kindness from an evil god.

If you need to speak to the staff as a player about your character, your avenue for OOC contact should be the prayer forum on this site. You can check regularly on your post and note how many have viewed the post, you will see any responses they wish you to read. I have been here for twenty years. I can assure you that the staff here will support you in most things, there is almost always a price. The price is never monetary, it is generally time and effort. @Anume hinted above that you may have sent an application to "immortals", which should have been "immortal". Since i'm still on i'll reply to your post. I did not receive "awful treatment" and never said I did. Read the original post and tell me where I said that. All I posted was a suggestion of things I noticed and (tell you a secret) things other players have told me from long ago of why they left. I came back to see if things had changed, I never played this mud THAT much, but there was a time... (begins looking up at the sky lost in thought) .....anyhoo! The only reason I posted that suggestion was because I noticed it was still around in the mud and thought I should mention it in the suggestions forum that is all, I DID NOT get on there to complain and whine about anything that heppend to me personally which is why I never mentioned any names or specifics I just merely said I had a few of my own experiences to legitimize my statement a bit. That's it friend, never cried once on there if you actually read the forum. In fact I made mention in my post that a lot of people were very helpful and gave props to them. The ones that were bringing up specific incidents were doing so to de-legitimize my statement.

Reeks of "oh no I didnt get what I wanted so let me quit like cartmen, loud and proud" to me. But hey, I've had a few beers watching soccer lol.
He didn't ask for anything we didn't provide..
He was upset due to an issue with whom I assume was with @Anume (which she explained already), and mad because Rygothran had playfully told him to follow the rules when queried about dcheck.
Honestly, I don't think he knows what condescending actually means. I disagreed with his statements in that this Mud is a business, and that he's not my customer and I'm not someone he pays for a service; that's a disagreement, not a condescending statement.
Oh well. Past is the past. A pity he had to make it a public debacle over what looks like a simple misunderstanding. :)
Until you’ve been transferred slayed and given a restring lighting dragon you really can’t complain. Honestly I can see where this is coming from Thorik. I appreciate your Cander and I think the IMM staff here is the best it’s ever been. What does that say about hiring? They’re getting it right! Anyways come to the discord we don’t bite and we help out a lot. Jan 1st I came back to the mud and I’ve also gone through some (re)Growing pains. But thanks to a few individuals and a lot of eavesdropping the transition hasn’t been too hard.
P.S I play Haverty so I’ve enjoyed helping your characters.
We help our own. A lot.
But it kinda depends on how it's asked for.
