Hello all, Chayesh, Head of Staff and Immortal God of Death and Torture here...
Now that we have had to shelve a brilliant world encompassing plot due to recent character changes, I'm looking for a few good plots. Consider these questions:

Do you want to be a part of the FL landscape and not just part of the scenery?

Have you ever been involved in a plot and thought "Oh, this is horse****...I can do better than this crap!"

Do you want to give back to this incredible MUD (along with its dedicated, talented, badass, and might I add, undeniably attractive, staff) but can't build up a good belch, let alone an area?

Are you tired for searching of Moleran's shoes....again?

Are you sick of rescuing Luqin from imprisonment....again?

Are you going to jump into traffic the next time a good/evil player goes evil/good and supplies enough drama to suck in at least 10 pinnacled players in to the mess?

One of the most rewarding ways of being involved in FL is player plots. Come up with the idea, mobs involved, storyline, timeline, special items that might be needed (no, you don't get some badass weapon made for you...BONK), etc. Submit your detailed synopsis of your plot through the prayer forum. Yes, it can be a self-agrandizing thing if you wish.
Not all submissions will be used. In fact, there's no guarantee that any will be used. Also, the IMMs reserve the right to make changes, of course, in order to make things fit together with the fabric of FL.

HA! Now that brings me back. Kittery was even funnier than Tindal. And I talked to him recently, he's living in charlotte with his gf. and well there are some negative changes going on in his life but we will just leave that alone for now. As for you Chayesh, I find this idea quite interesting, good luck to those of you who go for it.
Chayesh...will the "winners" be notified? And will you openly discuss the plot/ideas with the people who send them in?
Well the winners will know if all of a sudden their plot is being used. AND, I would doubt anyone wants to have an open discussion OOC about IG things such as large scale plots. Takes away the surprise and the whole point of playing.

Actually, if you really need a builder, I'm not incredibly terrible at making areas. (I realize that there's some extensive application process, but I just thought I'd try.)

As I told someone else who asked, that's Malchaeius' department as he is the head builder. We typically are always on the lookout for skilled builders among the playerbase, however, the only permanent positions are the IMM staff. All player-builders are a temporary, limited-access gig for the usual trust and security reasons.
The only fighting involved will be over which of us get to come on test port and haze you.
As for trigonometry, we aren't trying to replace Brambus' workshop, evil hellhole it already is.

I have far too much spare time on my hands. And knowledge od fecrepit old diku/rom building. Sad that it is.
Only thing I can't think up is something that fits in game (I'm ****e with plots. Or such. Creating random things however is so far up my alley it is absurd.

Pity too. If nothing else for the secret pride of people seeing such and such place and going ooh this is immaculate damn it really draws me in and its so lush... and going in my head. Heh. That's me you're staring at -evil grin-

Jovial joshing or telling me to hurry the eff up or harassing me about missing one period or comma is ok (used to it try digging and describing 1000 unique rooms with different descs entirely plus items/mobs in a day without missing something will ya )

I submitted my idea...it's uber cool...but it would have to be severely modified due to certain things that I've already kinda sorta had my hand in the cookie jar with so to speak.
Heh. I gave up on trying to make plots shaped by players when Sirant left and we were trying to have a clan revive Palison worship (which we were later mocked for and had the IMMs of the time slap us in the face, etc).
Since then, I haven't done much but player RP, because global stuff is junk (or was, when I began that hiatus some 1+ year ago).

Actually, I am not in Charlotte any longer, though I do miss being near ....anything. Who exactly is this and what are these "negative changes"? :confused:
