Sheath crimes warning delay

How bout a 1-2 hour delay on a warning before marking someone wanted for unsheathing.

Wanted to open up so RP, so I was purposely hiding in a small house unsheathed.

Tribunal rides in.

and so I bolted out of town because I barely got a word out. I didn't even get to dwarf forest before I was marked wanted. If there was some kind of 1 hour timer, I would have been able to RP a little bit, a get out of town safely (i think, i dont really know how marking people works).

Ya, lets make it so people can commit crimes and then not be wanted until they can run away

Good idea, but not very practical use.

Why would you get marked if you bolted out of the city?

Read the Tribunal law tomes in the Rheydin Library.

if you read the tomes, a trib can mark you if you do not sheath on front of them and just leave town. Think of it like a cop see you with a gun and tells you to drop it and you just leave the sence without doing it. What do you think they would do?

heh. where I come from you go to jail even with a sheathed gun.

I was about to do some "staff = walking stick" RP but yeah, didnt even get to that part. it was literally 10 seconds between warning and 2nd warning.... I just think (and have always thought) its a bit quick. Leaves no room for talking or any RP... its either sheath or be wanted.

I recall reading something about "patience during RP" somewhere...

The Law is black and white, almost without exception.

Enforcement of the Law, leniency, etc. are somewhat open to the individual RP of the Tribunals themselves. Some may be more stern, others more forgiving. It really is a dynamic RP environment.

Bottom line, however, you probably should just do what they tell you, when they tell you if you aren't prepared to handle the consequences.

Personally I have never wanted to go to jail for not sheathing. It seems like a waste of time for me.

I have never gone to jail for not sheathing. Killing the charmie/Justice/Trib because they flagged me for not sheathing on the other hand...
