does the area need to be 100% done before emailing the idea?
I have an idea with a nice graphical map I made, along with 5 rooms, mob and obj descs, and a rather decent length RP written up. Should I send it just to make sure there is a chance of it being accepted, or wait until I have ever mob, obj room desc?
You dont need to have the area fully completed.
I need...
Name of area you want to replace.
Name of your area
RP behind your area
Purpose of your area (ranking/eq/quest/cosmetics etc)
5 rooms descriptions.
5 mobs (If you have that many)
5 objects (If you have that many)
Also, your forum name, character history, and availability.
HEY I KNOW HOW TO BUILD I have an area already built in the game originally called Ulraunts Manor, but was revamped a lil and is now called the Warmaster Manor. My room descriptions were 4 lines or more atleast because viri and crypt demanded nothing less.
Wait, room descriptions? The first command I enter on all my characters is "brief". People actualy read those?

I don't know, to me, everything seems to bleak with brief on. It sounds really silly but even if I'm not reading the descriptions, because I already have at one point, I still need them there to be able to visualise the place. It's just the big body of text that fills a nice chunk of the screen that helps me to visualise the room as opposed to just two/three lines of text before the next room. Must be some strange psychological thing.. 
There better be a GOOD reason if you're going to change existing areas, and my preconcieved notions of what they look like.

I keep brief on for pk reasons. Chasing an autosneak race halfway across thera is hard enough without each room filling up half the screen.
I can see why you'd have trouble chasing someone across Thera, and it'd have nothing to do with room descriptions.
I might give brief a try for a bit when I log in, but last time I tried I wasn't a fan.

yea who gives a crap about room descriptions. I've had brief permanently up since beta. we've had room descriptions?
They're fun to look at when you're bored doing something that doesn't require chasing someone. Knowing your surroundings and RP'ing with them actually makes the experience a lot more enjoyable.
Ever have someone lean up against something and you had no idea what they were leaning up against? It's usually in the room desc
There are some rooms spread throught the world that you cannot see things inside them or see different things about them(vague enough) with brief on. I don't know of very many like that, but I'm sure there are more than I know.
