Outlaw

So just a idea/suggestion due to all the talk about outlaws. Why not have it toned down to where you wont be WANTED permenantly? Right now, being outlaw means you will be forever executed over and over.

But maybe it's ok rp to have them just stick with the outlaw flag (no wanted) after capture? Still outlawed in the towns (so no shops, can be attacked in towns - maybe tribunals can still attack them due to this openly in town to keep them out, etc). Also, when they do get wanted again, it doesnt fade till they are captured, executed, fully stripped (still a good amount of punishment to not be outlaw).

Just a thought.

I think it would be neat if it was a crime for outlaws to step inside town. You are outlawed...but if you come back, you become wanted.

You can be outlaws without being wanted now. That was changed by Behrens about 2 weeks ago. You'll notice several outlaws in game that don't have wanted flags. If they commit another crime of course then they are wanted again.

EDIT: And as always has been the rule, anyone can attack an outlaw an any time anywhere without consequences, even in town. Outlaws are just that...outside the protection of law.

hmmm then there is something wrong my outlaw gets caught repetedly and bam still wanted, dont even get time to re equip.

A Tribunal has to remove the wanted flag, if they want to/have reason to.

All outlaws remain wanted until they, through whatever means, convince a Tribunal to remove the wanted flag.

Ahhh I see, theres no way in hell then for mine haha.

Also, depending on how many crimes you've committed I think, I've seen outlaw flags go away also when the wanted comes off. We IMMs still haven't completely figured that one out, but it happens.

There are no legal consequences for attacking an outlaw in town, but gang-banging of outlaws should still be discouraged just as it is against any other character.

And I'm glad to see the distinction between being wanted and outlawed was restored.

It's only for 600 hours.

I think, Ill post more on it once my 600 hous is up, in about three years.

No, what I'm saying is that I've seen outlaws have their wanted flag removed and their outlaw flag came off also at that point. Others have had their wanted flag removed and the outlaw status stayed. It had nothing to do with the timer.

Exile is on a timer of about 600 hours. Outlaw is not. There's a big difference between the two.

ah ok.

Yeah, just because an outlaw isn't protected by the laws of the morts, doesn't mean they shouldn't be somewhat protected by the respect of the imms, instead of just turned down left and right.

Huh?

Nothing, just an event that happened, clearly breaking cabal warfare rules, they were informed and kept doing it. Prayed, and get told because I"m an outlaw warfare doesn't apply. I'd really like a general laid out exact RULE, that all the imms abide by concerning this. Because it WAS involving the capture/defending, and retrival of a standard(which, if two warfared cabals are on, should be doing anyway).

We're actually working on/finalizing a general statement/rule of cabal warfare on the IMM section right now. Tugging at yanking at it in every direction. We should have it for you guys soon.

Yeah!

Deff. Yeah! Right on guys, thanks.

Just for general info, there has been a rule regarding cabal warfare for some time now. Some of the lines were still blurry, and so we are refocusing the rule to make it clear and concise to everyone. Understand that once we publish the rule on this, we will be taking chunks of *** for ignoring it, as what is allowable and what is not should be abundantly clear.

Personally, I already think it's clear, but then I'm brilliant.
