It isn't really needed as a change in general, but the the rising RP standards of others, what would people think about adding in a feature that upon our last death that rather than just being disconnected we remain online as a ghost until that time expires?
Why would it be needed?
Essentially so it allows the character/player to finish any kind of RP they may be wanting to do before just being disconnected with death. This separates us from the real world by adding in a feature that allows us to 'absolve' our character's conscious if needed or to say our final piece before ultimately dying. Kind of a death bed confessions of sort possibly.
What would it bring to the game?
A new level of RP not seen before that allows things like the Rhenian RP log of his final moments within the game before he succumbed to death because of the Sun. Instead of being sent directly to his pit though he'd be brought straight back to his corpse for roughly 2 minutes to finish this off.
Would it apply to everyone?
No, it could merely be a command that you can forfeit at any point in your characters life after you hit the last 5 lives you have. This would bring up a prompt specifically stating whether or not you'd find it useful to have as your character may be close to condeath. This gives people with RP rich characters a chance to continue on this avenue to their final parting or even by speaking of something obscure. Something like people who had died and came back to report seeing loved ones or a bright light at the end of a tunnel, or something as simple as Steve Job's final parting words. You would also be able to choose the length of time in which you linger between a set time of 1 tick to 8 not including the 0 timer.
This could also be something you apply for a set amount of RP points as well making it so that each tick will cost X amount of RP points would be required for additional ticks to use. That would mean far less abuse for people who get heated and start berating others after death.
