Pinned Locked Points System for Equipment

Base amount of points for items:

Type Value
Armor & Sockets level / 10
Weapon level / 5
Rare +1 for ring, wrist, neck and sockets
+2 for all others
Unique +3 for ring, wrist, neck, sockets and weapons
+5 for all others



General rules:

Type Value
Noremove 2 points on weapons and shields, otherwise 0
Nodrop 1 point on weapons and shields, otherwise 0
Bless/Evil 1 point on weapons and shields, otherwise 0
Dark 0.5 points on shields if evil flag absent, otherwise 0
Burnproof 1 point on weapons and shields, otherwise 0.5
Socketable 2.5 points on rare/unique, 2 for common
Socket 2 points
Nouncurse -1 point if on armor (not weapon) also has noremove, otherwise 0.
Rotdeath -1 point
Anti-alignment -1 point (regardless of number)
Racial allergy material
(eg: mithril)
-1 point (does not stack with respective anti-alignment
(eg: antigood and either wood or iron)
Race or Class Only -1 point (does not stack)
Grants damage type resist 4 points
Grants damage type vuln -2 points



The following are multipliers and can be split fractionally:

20 mana 1 point
30 moves 1 point
1 stat 1 point on armor, 0.5 on weapons
Strength, Dexterity and Luck only, all others 0
-10 AC (addaffect) 1 point on armor, 0.5 on weapons
-1 Save vs Affl/Mal/Mental/Breath 0.75 points
-1 Save vs Spell 2.5 points
Defense skills1,2 1 point on armor, 0.5 on weapons
5 hitgain/managain 1 point
10 movegain 1 point
1 Aff/Mal/Mental level 2 points
1 Spell level 4 points

1 parry, dual parry, dodge, 2h, shield block, riposte)
2 Note: Monk variant should be included with the respective skill, no additional cost incurred

Note: Any penalties will have half the cost returned (eg: -10 mana returns 0.25 points to the item).
Note: All other proficiencies cost 0 points and penalties regardless of amount are -0.5 and do not stack.



Weapon specific:

Axe/Polearm/Staff/Whip 1 point for <= L40, 2 for L41+
Dagger -1 point [IE: returns a point]
Two-handed -1.5 points [IE: returns points]
Every point of avg damage above 15 0.5 points
Vuln nouns (eg: cold; holy; fire)3 3 points

Weight below 10 lbs 1 point
Can be Dual Parried 2 points

3Ogre and troll vulns (pierce and acid) are currently excluded from this list.

Natural armor is calculated as follows: Sum total / 40
EG: 8/10/4/7 AC would be: (8 + 10 + 4 + 7) / 40 = 29 / 40 = 0.725 points

Any item or are sold in shops will have a base points value equal to a level 30 item or their actual level, whichever is higher.
Any item that resets on the ground will have a base points value equal to a level 30 item.
Cabal weapon and armor, one time quest items, and other special items will be considered unique. See staff for details.

Spellforge:
Limited to convenience spells (detect invis, armor, etc) any class can get via consumables: 1 point
Other spellforge spells will be discussed separately
