So just fell victim to this little mechanic that i've never faced before.  I was caught totally unprepared so yeah it went downhill pretty quick but mainly because I couldn't flee the entire fight.  So bards are the new psions or is there a way out of that trap?

Fair enough - haven't been on the receiving end of many bards.  Question still remains, how does one escape it?

Things to remember, Save v sound should aid in avoiding it. Vogue has bash like lag to the bard. He is stuck for two rounds even if it fails.

Disarm/break the instrument.

I do not believe silence stops the vogue. Never tested it.

The same ways a berserker can try to get out of it. Sky launcher, holding and quaffing/brandishing forms of recall, eating teleport pills. Shifu's Shawl.

Dirt, order pet rescue, and don't autoassist.

Dirt is a crap shoot. Remember its a double edged sword. You must hit and he must fail bardic expert all while your stuck for two rounds. Best to use a consumable to get out.

Dirt, then rescue, is 3+ rounds stuck. May as well wait out the vogue. This tactic would work, but your stuck. What if rescue fails?

I don't think there is any normal way out of it other than the above. Feel like it makes more sense for this particular affect to last 0 hours or until the end of the tic. Would still be incredibly useful and dangerous for opponents.

I honestly can not remember, I haven't played that instrument on my last few. IIRC, it's a 1hr like flameblind.

Lloth's bard almost got me with this!
