Out of curiosity... I know if you have defenses or weapons above 100% but I'm curious what other skills do above 100%. Does Bash lag more or do more damage, if I take the perk does ranger bows/arrows deal more damage? Probably other skills I'll be curious about soon but right now I'm mostly just wondering if some skills are useless at 100+%.

An ability that has a chance to miss will hit more often at greater proficency. It also becones harder to evade.
Damage abilities have a better chance to get a higher roll for damage. More often hitting max role, when proficency is higher.
Some skills or spells have increased effect with higher proficency. Lasting longer for example.
What about creation abilities? I'm considering an archer ranger in the future and wonder if making him better at making bows (if it raises the stats on them) is better than the perk that increases range.
Oh also does bow damage go off +Dam or +Hit? I could make arguments for either way honestly.
I do not know specifically about bows, as i havent played am archer ranger in a long long time. I do know however that other weapon creation skills produce a better product with higher proficency.
Some abilities have secret powers only unlocked past 100% yes archer is one of the paths that has some secrets like this
Battlemage is another example
You have to know the secret squirrel handshake to actually learn those abilities.
Ammunition determines damage, ranged weapons determine stat boosts.
I wasn't too impressed with archer for this reason. Outside of a chance to bypass missile shield, and easy access to vuln ammo, they are just not as good as some ammunition you can get in game against people that are versed in fighting archers.
Archers are EXTREMELY powerful, but that's not what we're discussing.

Well I tested it on an archer and here's what I found:
Yes over 100% you get a different kind of arrow however I got my fletchery up to 106% and the arrows were the exact same arrows as those made by the 100% guys. Taking the perk was a waste as well since you can find an item that raises it.

If your referring to terra shield I think they changed it. Now it's based on your level whether it's mastered or not. I could be wrong but I remember mastering it to 100 and no change.

Never got sear over 100 on my bmgs, but meteor swarm definitely gets a new trick once over 100.

You can get 110 archery? Dang.
Gaunticles, - f0xx is only half right. Bmages have more than just sear that change when over 100% prof.
I basically just assume that any skill referenced in that Monastery quest reward has some benefit for being over 100%
Or maybe some of those skills are there to troll you.
@Ulmusdorn I've never gotten to 110% and honestly haven't tried. Using the perk and +5% scroll I was able to see the hidden arrows and what I thought was the last slot. Since the slot looked like this: 12. I thought it was just a number there put by accident and the list had ended. Never even asked in game if anyone knew of another item.
