Text Display

okay, I'm not very mechanically minded. so, how can I format my mud connector so that it displays everything on some sort of default for all players? what I mean by that is, I've noticed that I can create an image in text, which looks perfect to me, but I'm told that it's wonky or disjointed based on what other players see. the same happens when I'm sent an image... it will look askew, but others seem to perceive it as it was meant to be.

is there some way I can change the setting in my mud connector so that the text is displayed accurately for all?

You mean the proper display of ASCII art?

You can never be sure. Your best bet is to compose it in the default font of the mud (consolas, I believe) and hope the people looking have the same set up.

I use Courier New in my client and have since I started back in 2003 - I've also done some things like change Tribunal to white as I don't like pink. I wonder what else people have customized about their gaming experience?

I haven't customized anything of this sort, but I think Zmud uses Courier New by default.

I use old Telnet Fixedsys, a monospace or fixed-width font.

If your font is fixed-width then all letters and spaces will have the same length and format will be kept across fixed-width fonts.

For example, notepad uses this type of font.
