Is it permamanent? not sure how it works.

Yes.

A good cleric has the ability to bless a weapon, as long as the weapon is not already blessed.

As he blesses his weapon, his deity will also empower the weapon with a specific boon. All bless of arms are permanent as far as I know.

Best boons are: Death, Chance, Knowledge.

Worst boons are: Faith, Life.

Purity is in fact the worst faith. Bad bless arms, subpar bless, almost irrelevant divine intervention, broken Holy hands.

BUT this is made up by the fact that you have a shot to apply to Avatar.

Although avatarhood is not that powerful, it is extremely fun. And if you are a cleric of purity, you should consider applying.

TLDR: If you cleric, bless every arms you got. If purity, apply Avatar.

avatar must be done at rank 30?

Well as is widely known Holy hands does 3 things.

• It uses the faith of you deity to block an incoming attack.

• Enhances your offense by dealing unblockable diety specific damage.

• "Casts" a special deity related perk.

I have never ever seen in my life the Purity special perk go off.

Can't wait to see how cool it is now.

the specifics of all divine interventions and holy hands are explored once every year... yes, we're talking Halloween Madness! so, I don't see why it would be prohibited to discuss it. shrug oh, well.
