So I noticed a little red d next to a few pieces of armor, does this mean it is damaged? tried to repair a piece, twice If it is damaged how many times will i need to repair it?

Depending on the eq piece, it might be just cheaper to just replace it.
You can 'examine' armor to see just how damaged it is, too.

the cost to repair was just brought down to 10k from 50k. Just FYI. So the cost is not that bad.
it will be. several sessions each piece and four pieces damaged, mya might be right.
unless its a rare rare or uncommon rare just gank another one.
You're not required to repair anything. It's just something that's available, since it wasn't before.
personally I like the idea of walking around in a suit of armor that is battered, and dented, and mangled. Instead of a D maybe we could have adjectives?
EX:
A severely worn set of titanium fullplate
A dented helm of spell turning
A tattered pair of worn leather sleeves etc etc. Would definitely be awesome looking
