Been a few years since I have been here, wondering what standard training gear is these days? demon faced talismans, and practice weapons still standard? What about places to train, and training spells? Does the bumpkin still exist? scarecrows still the place for weapons and defenses? Need a little refresher

Scarecrows, some mobs in the hamlet are excellent for training disarm / shield disarm, some mobs north of Miruvhor also are very suitable for training some things on.
Defenses in the taradune fields. The best place for weapons now is north of Miruvhor. Go hit some stuff in the volcano area and you'll find out why.
Is it like... significantly easier to train now? took me all of about 20 minutes to master my defenses... are combat skills like bash/disarm/shield disarm just as easy now?

Ignore this. Not everyone can take an untrained FG zerk and dominate .
Training is safe, do it and do it comprehensively. If nothing else it will build
a relationship with your character that hopefully prevents rage deletion.

With time cut down it's almost not an issue if you manage your ranking to lvl 50 now. Rotate your weapons, skills and casts. Perhaps stop for 30 minutes when you get all your defenses as they assist with ranking a lot.

Agreed. Anatomy training is far worse than any other kind of training. Once that skill is at 100% even after that anatomies can be extremely slow. But I can live with it since that's about what I enjoy most aside from RPing anymore.
