Gold! I need it, Want it.. but how

So,

I have been playing this game for quite sometime but I never really felt I needed gold. Usually I just went to the dragon chest when I needed and poof I had the basics I required.

However, with Merchants around now and a class that seems to need to purchase some crazy expensive things, I find that i need it more.

Is there anything else besides the Dragon Chest, Selling crappy equipment and quest that bring more gold?

You may or may not know of Fizzie Ironsprocket. If you do, you'll know that my wealth is second only to Anamus (cause he cheats and pools all the knight's donation money!). Unless you count Brehan... Bastard is loaded.

So you can take it in good faith when I tell you.

Titanium Bracelets

Chimera Items

Battered Iron Breasplates (~7k a piece if you spread them out and obtainable around level 5-10 in Talos. From the crossroads above the dwarf forest, s s s s w w w w w w s s s s s (so thats 4 south, 6 west, 5 south). Very easy kill. May flee at lower levels when you can't kill it outright. It generates those ruddy breastplates very frequently.

each shopkeep has a set gold total, and it takes a LONG time for them to reset, unless characters buy a lot from them. Peltz in Val Miran has the most gold frequently.

Farm those items often and before long, you too will be a multi-millionaire.

Hope that info is allowed....

I was going to post a more simplified version, but Enethier nailed it on the head. There's a few other things you can do as well, but that is the big one at least.

Halfling Hamlet shopkeeps hold a fair amount of gold, as does the shady dealer in the north east of the hamlet. (i.e., easy to kill, easy to farm)

When I need gold I kill wealthy mobs. Ask around in game or experiment with this to find the best ones for your character. Luckily for me my current char seldom has use for gold.

The bag of gold from the arena CAN be worth the investment trying to get. So can slaying the black dragon in house decobru and taking the treasure, which is ~12k.

I think I have a small idea who you play, and i wish you all the best of luck!

EDIT: ALSO! master your haggling skll by buying a metric buttload of milk. <5 gold a piece and always useful.

Money behind Decobru is 25K if I remember correctly.

And you just have to kick dirt/blind the dragon to get past.

Ya, the dragon was always my main source before. However I wanted to scoop up some other methods as well.

I picked up that armor Enethier in Thalos, it is worth 7K.. very nice. However, None of the shopkeepers in the city were even interested in that.. The bastards. I had to travel far to sell it to someone else.

the armorers of every city will buy it.

i set up a trigger to collect them that runs me back and forth between peltz in Val Miran, so at the very least, he does.

That's called a macro.

How about finding something awesome... And selling it to the Merchants.

Specifically the ranger one and the warrior, I think they both 'specialise' in rare eq.

Its a business deal though so I wouldnt expect top price, but you can make a fair bit brokering whatever rares you have through them.

If you're level 50 or close, the ration seller in Tainted Valley usually carries around 20k. Pretty easy kill.

A trigger to set off the macro.

Actually, just a trigger...

Trigger=automatically fired

Macro=push a key to fire

Alias=shortened string

When I need gold I just kill someone who carries it... jibbers... fizzie.. ect.

lol j/k we all know I cant pk ANYONE.

The goblins leading up to the lieutenant tend to have a thousand or so on each of them - a run through is easy and quick and tends to net around 20k.

But my personal favorite is to kill the chimera a few times until I've got three or four sacks of gold - sure, you don't want to log off with them since they're rare, but if you've got an hour or so of playtime ahead of you you'll be netting craploads if you use them as often as possible (twice a day, I think). 20k or so investment will net you over 100k in an hour's play, and you can do other things while raising the money. Daenaer raised millions doing this.

There are so many ways to get gold it's not even funny.

On that topic, goodies have it a bit harder.

By definition a macro completes a series of instructions. An alias is a substitute for a command

Gold though, slay temor, grab arena bags...sell titanium bracers, kill other players who carry a lot of gold.

You forgot events.
