What decent/strong wood weapons are out there? I dont see how wood (mundane) would be a weakness to storm giants anyhow... can anyone elaborate?
Wood weapons
As I understand things, when a wood weapon is used on a storm giant, it will do normal damage (the mundane resist and wood vuln cancel each other out).
As for how it's a weakness weapon-wise... try finding a decent staff as a storm warrior sometime. It's not easy.
Wood is a material vuln only, just like iron/silver/mithril vulns. That means storm giants can't use some boats/wooden objects.
If you edge a wood object and make wood edges, they will do vuln damage, as will ranger throw.
If you use a wooden weapon against a storm giant, it will do damage as per the damage noun. If it is physical, they will resist. If it is magical, it will do normal damage. Thorns does NOT hit the storm giant vuln. So no, a wooden weapon does not hit the storm giant vuln in any case except throw.

Correct me if I am wrong, but "Thrown" weapons also hit that Vuln. So if your a ranger, throw your extra staff.
