How would one know what affects this spells damage? Is it based off of your dam roll or what?
divine retribution question
I think it's solely based off your level and possibly proficiency. As far as I know, there's no way to increase the damage done by divine retribution - though I've been wrong once or twice before.
Perhaps raising your spell level might aid.
But still, you are better of improving your meele ability and getting auto damage items.
Your level has everything to do with how powerful the damage output is. The proficiency is also another factor. If it's mastered it's bound to hurt more and more often.
I agree with Mya full heartedly, do NOT rely on this to hurt your opponents, it's meant for a solid contact upon your foe. AC doesn't seem to affect if it hits or not, magic resistance does however.
This is... just what I noticed.
It's been a while since I've had a character high enough level to use this skill.
Well, frankly, there's no reason to seek out a high damage output with a healer. Divine Retribution works WONDERS against undead/vampires, along with dispel evil, so once you figure out how to manage your strategy against them (pretty much sitting there and steamrolling them), you're set. If you're trying to raise the damage to fight other people... you shouldn't be, because you're not supposed to be fighting other people. ![]()
Focus on pumping up your other stats - HP, Mana, AC, and Saves.
