Been a while since I played a thief, but if I remember a thief could once see the contents of open bags with peek. As for whether perishables last longer in a closed bag, rumors have always suggested it to be true, but in all my years, I have never noticed a difference. I third the motion that an official immortal opinion would be appreciated.

In all the time I have played the only differance I have ever seen is how much faster I am able to kill someone who uses open backpack get crap backpack close backpack. Sorry but I trust this to be a rumor started by a mastermind who wanted to lag some fools to get kills while they are stuck there opening closing things. As for actually knowing the code that would explain a definitive yes or no answer, I dont know code.
