Give bards 2-handed.

The main thing that makes me ask this is their use of staffs. Bards have pugil and staff, but no two-handed, so you're down to just parry and dodge if you decide to use one. If you dual-wield, you at least have dual-parry.

This would mostly be use against these super melee's. Since they're already out-meleeing you anyway, I don't see how giving them this ability would spike their power level too high. If nothing else, it would make them slightly more competitive.

Thoughts?

Giving bards two handed gives you as much defense as a staff warrior, while retaining hide, throw, curse serious, and four seasons. Giving a bard the ability to match a warriors defense, and offense, while giving them the edge with estra static damage (four seasons) and vuln throw WOULD tip their power level. Staff with pugil gives you all the offense, while losing some defense. Perfectly acceptable honestly. Even without it Dwimli was matching my melee as Skathr unless I used a staff.

They won't match warriors defense, since warriors also have riposte.

But generally, I agree with your statement. Bards are hybrids, they are not meant to be that defensive.
