WinTin++

Just decided to try out this client, but it's a bit confusing... how do I set FL to default and set logging?

you create sessions.

the entire thing is user driven so you need to write your own connect alias that sets up the session then save it to file using #write.

make an alias called connect with the following command...

#session forsake 216.136.9.8 1848

then use #write to create your alias file. I tend to make a new file for every character since I always add alias' as I go.

So, when you are done writing stuff and simply want to play, PM me and I will send you zMUD

or better yet pm me and you get Mushclient.

Or you can be a REAL man and use Gmud.

EDIT: I'm just an old man stuck in my ways. 11 years of using Gmud to date.

sorry wintin just takes some setting up.

I am sure you dont have to even enter the site and port in your clients, they come ready to play FL and thats it?

Yup. I will send him Mush that is ready to go

Yup. I will send him Mush that is ready to go

sucks up Mush with his wind tunnel

Nope. I have learned the way of the wind tunnel from Kyz.

Come to the dark side, we have cookies.

heh.

I have been using wintin as a client for over a decade. I tried other ones, pretty much all of the ones listed, but felt the interface got in the away.

I wouldnt reccomend it for everyone, it is very bare bones. Though if you like to write a little code, it is easy to setup and modify to your hearts content.

Gah, I don't know anything about coding, though I'd like to.. I'm afraid that the formulas are entirely foreign to me.

Mushclient is a cakewalk to set up all the same things for non programmers. For instance to setup a highlight, click and drag to highligh on your output screen, rightclick, and choose the color

Actually wont most of melindas color triggers work with wintin with little bits of modification?

I tried wintin myself, it really ISNT a bad client, it just requires too much adaptation for me to get used to. You can still bind numpad for your stuff etc etc. I just did not wanna learn a new client.

I just did not wanna learn a new client.

I feel the same way. I see all of these logs of people with tick timers and target triggers, and I wish I knew how that stuff worked. But i'm still using the same client I learned on 12 years ago. Mudmaster for the win!!!
