Just charmed mobs.

But they keep the same attack.

So if they attack with Ray Damage, they keep attacking with Ray damage.

Which is only usefull if you died recently, because good zombies have phisical attacks.

How is rays damage useful post death? Wouldn't any damage be useful BEFORE death?

No, damage is only useful post mortem. Once you have died, then the revenge factor in the code allows Ray damage to intensify and hit every vuln on every opponent, including the human vuln, ego.
