Granted leadership...

Istendil doesn't have a "Hey! Look at me and listen!" personality. I don't think Jaspurr did either, or any other previous Leader I know.

You're correct, but I have never seen Istendil or Jaspurr or any of the other leaders shy away from an interaction. There is always an explanation behind being unable to talk not just 'Busy fighting nexus.' and that's all there is. It is part of the reason I think that some RP shines to more people.

When you are actually striving to interact with everyone on one level or another it really makes life better for everyone in the game. I'm not saying this is a bad thing by any means, but the RP of your two examples stands out above and beyond BECAUSE of your willingness to immerse yourself fully into the character and becoming invested. If you only interact with people in your PK/group range, your RP becomes by FAR and away more of a 'Look at me look at me!'.

Disclaimer: This is just the perspective of a player who has only been here one year. Take it as you will.

Well for one I have no problem talking to anybody despite who you are.

Liadon isn't just loud, but I aim to make her charismatic; but not the fake kind that doesn't "change" with every interaction. She's still the same person while each interaction influences her.

I don't know... I LOVE EVERY RP I have with Liadon. I'm not sure how much damage I can do with a healer but I've been reading up on the PK logs and seeing what I can do.

I wont just bend over.

Just saying.

Creeper. Can we try to NOT scare away the new players?

I mean really, you live in Bulgaria. Just walk out your front door and pick up the girl who is doubtless still working the corner at this time of night.

Heh I think you all might have misunderstood. I'm not talking about someone who has to run into everyone's face with it and force it. Let me explain, most of my characters have never had something huge going on. They just exist, they have their own thoughts and feelings, a family and they're just trying to get by in a dangerous world. I've never rp'd someone like Heiku who you'd hear about without meeting him. Take Aylivar, he was quiet and controlled and only spoke when he felt he had something important to say. It wasn't reclusive it was just his personality and sometimes I'd be screaming at the screen but couldn't write what I was thinking because he didn't feel that way. I'm not knocking down anyone's rp and I admired Heiku, I just don't think that with my usual style of characters I'd get Leader, not changing how I play though.

Psh fine! I'll help you get leader then. You know YOU don't have to be loud to have an ally yell for ya.

Just saying.

yeah dudes- im just kinda biting my tounge on this subject- in time, I'll have something to say- for right now, going to see how things play out. which will be like the conclusion, man im high.

Healers > ANY EVIL, Neutrals are a pain, but Healers are just sick, in terms of pk, even with all the nerfin they have recieved, from my understanding, thats why healer pk of non-undead/demon is frowned upon. Even then, Healer > Undead of any form....like, I think a Healer is more beef in PK then a Crusader

Edit: And I have played a Crusader

Playing a crusader, and playing a strong crusader are different

Yet to find a healer that can whomp me like Thran.

Actually, they are not allowed to PK demons too.

Actually' date=' they are not allowed to PK demons too.[/quote']Are you certain that this is not dependant upon religion? Seems both Nature and Purity Healers may be more likely to hunt a demon down, and less likely to be punished for doing so. Where a tranquility Healer would likely be Outcast for fighting anything that is alive. While we think of demons as less than living, the truth is that the host of the demon is very much alive. Tybs did not get outcast for slaying Depravikant, but Enzekriel did get outcast for spanking IKFL's warmaster slith thief.

It was formally announced that Demon's were off of healers allowed to hunt list. That said Healers can still kill people, and often have to in defending themselves and their cabals - they just aren't supposed to be aggressive, or actively hunt anything other than undeads.

Which is what I'm doing, I go out and hunt Vampires with most of my hunting parties well I did before I stopped getting EXP from them... Now I'm hunting and getting beat up by Blood Thirsty Centaurs.

As for protecting myself, there was this one character that surprised Liadon and it was before I actively threw up protections and to be honest... I don't think he would have made it, and I WOULD have chased him down to finish the job if it wasn't for the fact that the person that I was following decided to run.

grumbles

I could have had my first PK...

My bad, I didn't think it would be smart to PK at that level...Sorry liadon!

Healers, by nature, should not be trying to kill people that are not undead. A good healer would only ever take a life in self-defense.

Or flee and attempt to verbally stop the fight continously.

No one should die to a healer unless they want too.

True.

The crazy thing is... I say Liadon would up and say, "You try to kill me, I'll kill you..." but in truth, I'm not sure what she'll do until I am approached with that scenario.

Knowing Liadon she will most likely flee and beg them to stop unless she is cornered then will fight to survive.

However I'm not sure what Liadon will do until it happens.

LoL

And it will happen, Level 50 isn't that far away.

Hey Liadon, we're not talking only about you. We are talking about healers in general. And in FL you are your character. If you have chosen healer then you have to stick to its RP

That being said, I don't think there will be a problem with you being too aggressive anyway

My suggestion for you is to find another goodie and do some duels so you can get used to seeing big red letters, your HP being low, navigating while you are blind and so on.

I am sure many would like to cooperate i.e. woop your helpless cute little...

Well no I know, I'm just trying to sort out how "Healers Should Be" and how "Liadon is and how I play her".

After all, rules are meant to be broke.

devious grin

I've gotten to spar with a half elf monk, a feral ninja, and a menataur warrior. Each time getting my *** kicked.

I don't have ANY offensive spells except for curse but I'm tempted to have them actually try kill me and practice getting away.

I'm sure Liadon will be able to persuade someone to do that.

winks

EDIT:

No wait... Accession! That spell is the coolest thing I have to bless my hunting group with.

it goes something like:

So and so mauls enemy

Liadon blesses so and so with Accession unlocking their hidden abilities.

So and so DEVASTATES enemy.

I grin every time...
