I have no idea how many of the 18 people who are looking at the Newbie Help section right now are actual humans behind the computer monitor coming to learn about the Forsaken Lands, but just in case one of you are:
FL is home to some of the more upper echelon players in term of Player-Killing and Role-Playing. We pride ourselves in quality and not quantity, although we are working on building the latter back up.
We invite you to use our new webclient at www.theforsakenlands.org and roll a character to get started. We've recently simplified our rolling process so there is less of a gap between starting strengths for newer players who may not have been accustomed to our traditional rolling style.
When you get started you will find yourself in a typical newb player MUD school. That too is going to be touched up and enhanced soon, but you still might find it beneficial to make use of what is offered there currently.
Review the helpfiles help tour, help newbie, etc
We know that while there may be other MUDs with more activity at the moment, we can guarantee that making your home here in our community and sharing the game many of us have been playing for 10+ years you will not be disappointed. As we continue to build upon the playerbase we have and expand our content, you will be glad you decided to roll here.
Be sure to register on the forum and ask anything you might need to know or are curious about. We'll do all we can to make the transition into the game smooth and enjoyable.
