You never know if she is joking or not ![]()
AC and Bash/Bodyslam
Once you hit a certain degree of saves anything more is quite useless...
I've heard that before. Any chance you will reveal where the line is? ![]()
For a non vuln race 80 saves is WAY too much under almost any circumstances ![]()

Imms said many times, 30 across the board is enough for most cases. Which is 30 vs spell + 30 vs aff + 30 vs mal + 30 vs mental.
This is not the line. This is the imm's advise.

I know. Even Viri said we only needed 70 mal vs shamans. But if you going to give a value, better leave a safety margin. If people walk around with 110 aff saves, they can walk with 80 mal. ![]()
if you have -70 mal saves then you are wasting your eq slots.
Any meelee with these kind of saves is going to be near on useless. I've played the saves game, trust me. I played Loucheran, balls out hit/dam slith warrior. I used to lay the smack down on shamans (decent shamans) however, over time it was possible to wear me down. I always had to run and hide.
I then played Sslandith, Avatar, slith warrior. Swapped out about 15 hit/dam for saves, had approx 20 across the board I guess, will have to double check old logs. I did alot better vs shamans, whilst still being viable against everyone else.
Before Philantees, I'd never had any real useful amount of saves on a vampire, after getting massacred by bloody evil clerics, I invested in some (as well as some aff saves for annoyances like Anister
)
I cant remember exactly what I was running, but I Guess it was around -15 to 20svsspell, about -40 save vs mental, -25-30 svs afflictive and about 10-15 save vs malediction.
Now, equipped like this, I barely had 35 35 hit/dam, and I was reasonably well decked out.
If you wanna get these insane amounts of saves your talking about, your going to have 10 hit/dam. You're going to be lunch.
There is more then 1 opponent you battle in this game, you cant go hard out one way just to defend against one player, and even then, not be able to hurt them and get completely rooted by any other combo.
Mya is always talking about getting all these saves, this, my friend, is because you play a cleric. You don't rely on hit/dam. For any meelee player, your theory is suicide.
Hehe. I think I failed over 100+ times landing minister on you, Tot. But once it landed, I expected you to run like hell (I do too when I get ministered) and I'll be honest .. Minister is almost an 'I win button'. But you caught me with my pants down several times, so... It evens out. ![]()
and wtf. You have to be WICKED decked to get to -80 90. I thought I was decked and I have -73. That might be why you think clerics need a boost' date=' cause [b']your running around in 11 pieces of saves gear, and a ring of accuracy.
Read the whole thread and this post made me lol for atleast 5 min.

3 hit/9 dam to be more precise ![]()
I could still scratch people once in a great while!!!
Those aren't bad stats for a shaman or voker! ![]()
that is a healer or bmg
Gonna go ahead and say that Chayesh following healers are pretty rare... My guess is the BMG.
It is someone with 18 str and 24 int, i.e. a drow. Likely a bmg or a cleric.
My guess is that was Akiyor.
Shammy, TB was correct.
Mya was right on one point. Due to the way some spells work I think -80 mal saves is different than -40 mal -40 svs. There are some classes that are made to fight with that many saves and yes they are usually mages. Yes fights against them may be harder but shamans aren't supposed to have it easy all around. This is how the game is, checks and balances.
-80 mal is definitely not different than -40 svspell, -40 mal
