No' date=' I mean you can doublegrip one handed weapons, and then block with them as if they were two-handed. So warriors don't really lose a defense when dual wielding and disarmed, if they doublegrip.[/quote']

scratches his head confused

Doublegrip makes most one-handed weapons into two-handed weapons. So, you can have the benefits of a two-handed weapon even if it is only one-handed.

If you are blinded then disarmed while dual wielding, you can double grip the remaining weapon and get your defense back until you can rewield.

On that note, I think the warrior/berserker double grip should be a very low level skill, just like the blm one.

Please no. It's bad enough they can rip quite a few classes up at low levels before they come into power. Let's not make it so you don't have a chance to disarm them easier and knock of some of that power. Besides, my main concern for this would be mino wars for obvious reasons.

So you can double grip one handed weapons. What happens when you doublegrip a one handed weapon and then wear a shield? You get two handed and shield block all at once?

no, both hands are on the weapon....

So then, again, what is the problem?

You can doublegrip one handed swords in real life too...

If you don't know what they are talking about, it is prolly better anyway as knowing buggy skills only leads to abuse of the skill. Like doublesheath/dual wield as a blm.

There is no problem. I was responding to whoever said it is unfair to dual wield a two hander because you dont lose a defense when your primary is disarmed. I was pointing out that the same can apply even if you are dualing two one handers.

I also do not think this is a bug of any kind. As Jibber pointed out, not every weapon can be doublegripped.

There are a few more kinks in it that you are immediately seeing.

Buggy skill? I disagree, we are talking about warriors, berzerkers, and blademasters, the three most well trained melee classes in FL. I think the ability to double grip blindly is awesome. I think if you take it away from the three most melee of classes it would be wrong. However, currently there is Zero lag from disarm, which means that the melee clas can "instantly" regain the third defense. This is where I find the issue. I do not want disarm to be a lag skill, but I think it should take those melees a round or so to "get a grip" on that weapon that just fell into their primary hand.

Lytholm disarms you and sends your weapon flying!

Doubl

You switch your weapon to your primary hand.

You tighten your grip around your weapon.

You block Lytholm's attack with your weapon.

Just wrong.

Even if you had no commands entered you'd have to be pretty quick to do that...even so, I think there is a slight delay in switching your weapon, and if you were blind you'd have to wait for it to happen before you could double grip. So you'd have at least one round of combat without two handed.

sheath draw double. All of these commands are 0 lag.

Not sure 0 lag really exists. You can only enter so many commands between rounds, even seemingly lagless commands.

Unfortunately....

there is a difference between something taking lag, and time. Lag prevents you from doing anything, your slow *** typing prevents you from winning

There is an inbuilt lag in every command. You can always stack commands if you type fast enough, or use a trigger.
